Jaime Wong's Debut EP Launch

(ALL AGES, FREE STANDING)

Jaime Wong reveals her soul-baring admission to lost love in her first eponymous EP – a heartfelt record spun from an unmistakably warm and musky voice, and grounded in acoustic-folk roots. More than just a mellow, downtempo piece, Jaime’s EP is a thoughtful projection of her songwriting artistry that’s been heavily influenced by acts like Damien Rice, Ben Howard and John Mayer. Debuting at #2 on the local iTunes Top Album charts, the EP has already been described as a “gorgeous folk pop suite dedicated to lost love” and “essential” by Power of Pop. Her first single 'Skin', has also received favourable reviews and airplay in the local music scene.

The four-track EP is produced by Leonard Soosay of Snakeweed Studios and features Mark John Hariman (Inch Chua, Charlie Lim) on electric guitars, Josh Wei (Gentle Bones, The Sam Willows) on violin, Lisa Haryono (Simon Yong, bittymacbeth) on cello and piano, Mah Chen Zhong (The Sam Willows) on bass and Lee Liang Hong (Pitchfeather) on drums.

Together with the band, Jaime will be launching the EP on May 15, 2015 (Friday) at Lepark, an up-and-coming tapas joint located on the People’s Park Complex rooftop carpark. Featuring opening acts Linying and The HubbaBubbas, Jaime promises a night of good music, good fun and good people.

Doors open at 7pm. Tickets $25 at the door, excluding physical EP. Limited edition merchandise will be sold at a special price.
